The KDI School of Public Policy and Management is affiliated with KDI (Korea Development Institute), undeniably the premier think tank for the South Korean government for the past 50 years. It was first established in December 1997.
The school fosters international experts with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the fields of development economics and public policy. It was founded with the goal of nurturing future leaders across all sectors of society to cope with the rapidly changing international environment.
I enrolled in this graduate school in the fall semester of 2022 and am currently balancing work and studies. A major feature of the DI School is that it has the highest proportion of international students among graduate schools in Korea. All the courses are conducted in English.
The classes emphasize active participation, blending presentations with group assignments. So, students naturally communicate with international classmates and can form friendships with them.

KDI 국제정책대학원은 지난 50년간 대한민국 정부의 명실상부한 최고의 싱크탱크였던 KDI(한국개 발연구원)를 모태로, 1997년 12월에 처음 설립되었습니다.
이 학교는 개발 경제 및 공공 정책 분야에서 이론 지식과 실무 기술을 두루 갖춘 국제 전문가를 양성합 니다. 급변하는 국제 환경에 대처하고자 사회의 모든 부문에서 미래 지도자 육성을 목표로 설립되었습 니다.
저는 2022년도 가을 학기에 이 대학원에 입학하여 현재 일과 학업을 병행하고 있습니다. KDI 대학원 의 가장 큰 특징은 한국에서 외국인 학생 비율이 가장 높은 대학원이라는 점입니다. 수업의 전 과정도 영어로 이루어집니다.
모든 수업은 적극적인 참여 수업으로 발표 및 그룹 과제가 자연스레 녹아 있습니다. 그렇기에 학생들 은 자연스레 해외 친구들과 소통하며 그들과 친구가 될 수도 있습니다.
