마을 정원사

I currently do volunteer work as a community gardener. It's a volunteer activity set up by the local municipal office for local residents to pitch in and create a garden city. A total of 12 of us are involved in the project.

They provide education to the citizens on garden culture, plant propagation and care, and garden maintenance. At first, I thought tending to a garden would be a challenging task. But ever since I received training, I have enthusiastically devoted myself to the task.

We participate in creating wildflower gardens in areas that require community management. Seeing residents take the lead to preserve the village gardens and create a landscape where people and nature come together as one is a very rewarding experience.

저는 현재 마을 정원사로 봉사 활동을 하고 있습니다. 주민들이 참여하는 정원 도시 조성을 위해 구청에서 추진한 봉사 활동인데, 총 12명이 함께 활동을 하고 있습니다.

주민들에게 정원 문화에 대한 이해, 식물의 번식과 관리, 그리고 정원 관리 등에 관한 교육을 제 공합니다. 처음에는 저도 정원을 가꾼다는 것이 어려운 일일 거라고 생각했습니다. 그런데 교육을 받고 나서는 정원을 가꾸는 일에 열성적으로 임하고 있습니다.

저희는 주민들의 관리가 필요한 곳에 야생화 정원을 만드는 일에 참여를 합니다. 주민들이 주도해서 마을 정원을 살리고 사람과 자연이 어우러지는 조경을 만들어 가는 것을 보면서 큰 보람을 느낍니다.
