World Cup 월드컵

Soccer is the most popular sport loved by the most people all around the world. That's why there's a big competition called the World Cup.

The World Cup is held every four years. First, there are World Cup qualifiers in each region. There is a predetermined number of slots that are allocated to each region.
In the final round, 32 countries compete in group stage matches.
Then, the top 2 teams from each group advance to the knockout stage and compete for the trophy. The team that wins the World Cup receives the World Cup trophy. Brazil has the most wins at the World Cup, with 5 championships.

One of the most exciting aspects of the World Cup is that there are sometimes major upsets. In the most recent World Cup in Qatar, for example, there were many unexpected events like Saudi Arabia taking down Argentina.

축구는 전 세계에서 가장 많은 사람들이 좋아하는 가장 인기 있는 스포츠다. 그래서 월드컵이라 는 큰 대회도 있다. 월드컵은 4년마다 개최된다. 먼저 각 지역별로 월드컵 예선전을 치른다. 지 역마다 할당된 본선행 티켓의 수는 정해져 있다.

본선에서는 총 32개국이 조별 리그 경기를 거친다. 그러고 나서 각 조의 1, 2위 팀이 토너먼트 에 진출해서 우승 경쟁을 벌인다. 월드컵에서 우승을 한 팀은 월드컵 트로피를 받는다. 브라질 은 월드컵 우승 횟수가 5번으로 가장 많다.

월드컵에서 가끔 엄청난 이변이 일어나는 것도 재미있는 요소 중 하나다. 예를 들면, 가장 최근 에 있었던 카타르 월드컵에서는 사우디아라비아가 아르헨티나를 이기는 등 많은 이변이 일어났 다.
