Gardening 정원 가꾸기

I had a long-held dream of living in a single-family home and tending my own garden. I finally realized that dream in 2017. I wasn't very good at it for the first few years, and I experienced a lot of failures. I had to consider factors like sunlight, soil conditions, and the characteristics of plants when planting flowers and trees. But rather than trying to understand them, I only planted them to be easy on the eyes for humans and blindly hoped they would grow well.

Yet, with each passing year, I learned more and gained more experience in gardening. Flowers and trees became more and more beautiful in their natural form and brought me great joy. Each flowering plant blossoms in its own time, rewarding this gardener's sweat and dedication. Seeing them grow larger and more bountiful each year brings me nothing but happiness.

나는 주택에서 살면서 나만의 정원을 가꾸고 싶은 오랜 꿈이 있었다. 2017년에 드디어 그 꿈을 이루게 되었다. 처음 몇 년 동안은 정원을 가꾸는 일이 서툴러서 실패를 많이 했다. 일조량, 토 양의 상태, 식물의 특징 등을 고려해서 꽃과 나무를 심어야 했다. 그런데 식물을 이해하려고 하 기보다는 사람이 보기 좋게만 심어 놓고 잘 자라기만을 막연하게 바랐다.

그러나 해를 거듭하며 정원 가꾸기 공부와 경험이 쌓여 갔다. 꽃과 나무들이 갈수록 본연의 아 름다운 모습으로 성장하여 나에게 큰 기쁨을 주었다. 꽃나무들은 저마다의 시간이 되면 만발을 하여 이 정원지기의 땀과 정성에 보답한다. 또한 해마다 더 크고 풍성하게 성장하는 모습을 보 면 나는 행복하기만 하다.
