Many companies hold "Black Friday" discount events at the end of the year. The original "Black Friday" falls on the day after Thanksgiving in the United States, and it features the steepest discounts of the year.

If an item you've been wanting to buy is offered at a bargain rate during this event, it can be a great opportunity. Discounts can go as high as 50% to 80%, so waiting until late November to splurge on the items you want can be a money-saving strategy.​

In my case, there was a pair of winter boots I had my heart set on recently, so I went aheacand took the plunge. However, they had a Black Friday sale the very next week, and I felt cheated. It almost felt like I had poured money down the drain.

많은 기업들이 연말에 '블랙 프라이데이' 할인 행사를 진행한다. 원조 '블랙 프라이데이'는 미국의 추수 감사절 다음 날로, 1년 중 가장 큰 폭의 할인 행사를 진행한다.

평소 사고 싶었던 상품이 이러한 행사 때 큰 폭의 할인을 하고 있다면, 정말 좋은 기회가 될 수 있다.  크게는 50%~80%의 할인도 해주기 때문에, 11월 말까지 사고 싶은 물건을 기다렸다가 사는 것도 돈을 절약하는 방법이 될 수 있다.

나의 경우, 최근에 너무 사고 싶었던 겨울 부츠가 있어서 큰맘 먹고 구입을 했다. 그런데, 바로 그 다음 주 부터 블랙 프라이데이 행사를 해서 너무너무 아쉬웠다. 괜히 돈을 낭비한 것만 같은 기분이 들었다.
