English Accents​

English is a language that is widely used in many countries all over the world. This means there are various English accents across different nations. In fact, some people say that in places like London, you can hear different accents after just a 10-minute walk.​

What if you selected one of these accents, depending on your preference, and practiced it? Just as American and British accents differ, Australian and Irish accents are also quite distinct from one another. I  believe that learning these accents can be a great motivator for studying English.​

In this day and age, you can listen to various English accents online and try to copy them, without having to visit each country. Through these efforts, you might even develop your own unique accent.

영어는 전 세계 여러 국가에서 널리 사용하는 언어입니다. 그러다 보니 국가별로 다양한 영어 악센트가 있습니다. 실제로, 영국 런던 같은 곳에서는 10분만 걸어도 다른 악센트가 들린다고 하는 사람들도 있습니다.​

취향에 따라 이렇게 다양한 억양 중에 하나를 골라서 연습한다면 어떨까요? 미국 억양과 영국 억양이 다르듯이, 호주 억양과 아일랜드 억양도 서로 꽤 다릅니다. 저는 이런 억양을 익혀 보는 것도 영어를 공부하는 데 큰 동기 부여가 될 수 있다고 생각합니다.​

요즘 같은 시대에는 굳이 각 나라에 가지 않더라도, 온라인상에서 다양한 영어 억양을 듣고 따라 할 수 있습니다. 이러한 노력을 통해 자신만의 개성 있는 억양이 생길 수도 있습니다.
