Ten years ago in a TV drama, I saw an actor portraying the role of a Korean dad in his late 40s. He was so convincing that I felt a strong connection with him. When I found out that the actor was the same age as me, I was struck with the thought that it would be nice to make friends with him. One day, I learned about a café frequented by the actor on the internet, and I became eager to visit someday.

On May 1, 2014, Labor Day, I traveled with a close younger friend to Bundang, where the café is located. As luck would have it, the actor was there when we arrived. It was so fascinating that I approached him without any hesitation and introduced myself as a fan. He asked us where we were from and generously made time to chat with us.

Since then, I have been active in the actor's online fan club, supporting him as I watch the TV shows and movies he appears in. Over time, we have become friends. A handsome, middle-aged actor, he is both good-natured and hard-working.

10년 전 한 TV 드라마에서 한국 가정의 40대 후반 가장 역할을 연기하는 배우를 봤다. 어찌나 실감나 게 연기를 하는지 많은 공감을 했다. 그 배우가 나와 동갑인 것을 알고, 갑자기 그분과 친구가 되면 좋 겠다는 생각이 들었다. 어느 날, 인터넷에서 그 배우가 자주 가는 카페를 알게 되어, 언젠가 한번 방문 해 보고 싶어졌다.

2014년 5월 1일 근로자의 날, 나는 친한 후배와 함께 그 카페가 있는 분당까지 갔다. 그런데 우리가 도착했을 때 우연히도 그 배우가 그곳에 있었다. 너무 신기해서 아무런 망설임 없이 그에게 다가가서 팬이라고 인사를 했다. 그 배우는 우리에게 어디서 왔냐고 물으면서 잠시 얘기할 시간까지 흔쾌히 내 주었다.

그 후로, 나는 그 배우의 팬 카페 활동을 하게 되었고, 그 배우가 출연하는 드라마와 영화 등을 보면서 응원을 하다 보니 우리는 친구가 되었다. 그 배우는 인성 좋고 성실한 꽃중년 배우 중 한 명이다.
